My kid brother, Ronny (Adam), left Tuesday for Kuwait. He will be one of four officers on the ground where he is to be stationed. I think there are around 140 people under his watch. We had a party a couple days before he left but it didn't seem to keep any of us from dreading his departure. My dad has a blog (www.donhenderson.com) where he posted a few of the pics from the deployment. Click on the title (of this post) to see them. The photo above appeared on the cover of the Columbus, GA newspaper yesterday. You can check that out and read the story by ckicking here. Please continue to pray for Ronny and all of the men and women who are sacrificing so much for us.

A Very Fine Line

The other day a friend directed me to a very interesting website. I have enjoyed reading some of the most intelligent writing that I have read in a long time. The site is maintained by a blogger who writes about Gospel Music and it's artists. I thought it was interesting enough to share it with you. Go check it out.

Armor4Troops

I had a great time yesterday in Buckhead, Georgia. I performed at the 4C Ranch with several Rock and Roll bands. We were there to help raise money for an organization that I have been working with for a while called Armor4Troops. Actually, this was my first event with them. I have been associated with US Vetaid who has recently partnered with Armor4Troops in this great cause. The people were wonderful and we were able to raise a lot of money. I am honored that I was asked to be a part of the first annual Freedom Fest.

We are planning several more of these concerts in the months to come and I hope you all will make plans to be a part. I was talking with the president of US Vetaid yesterday about some of the things that the media doesn't show the American people. It seems like we are only hearing the negative. I don't want to get political so I won't say anything else about that but I will share some photos that I got from the Armor4Troops.org website. I haven't seen any of this on the news.

Enjoy.

NQC

Hey, guys. I just got home from the National Quartet Convention in Louisville. I had a blast getting to meet so many new friends. I was kind of shocked at how many people were asking about Second Mile. It was encouraging. I was only in KY for a couple days but I am somehow exhausted. Ray Waters, my pastor, and his son, Ethan, went with me and we spent the day walking around the convention hall and listening to Gospel Music. I will write more about NQC later. Right now I have to go to bed because I have to get up early in the morning and head to Buckhead, GA for the Armor4Toops concert. See you later.
